Today I give you two of the greatest performers in the music Industry today singing together. This is a special video on that it was the wish of Amy to always sing with her life long idol Tony. He was seeking to duet with her for a new Album at the time and history was made.
I was sad to learn that this was Amy’s last recording before her death which followed 4 months later. I am so happy she got her life long wish before this travesty to the musical world happened. RIP Amy and recently Tony officially retired due to health issues in relation to the onset of Dementia. I wish you love peace and continued good health Tony. He has won 20 Grammy Awards (including a Lifetime Achievement Award presented in 2001) and two Primetime Emmy Awards, and was named an NEA Jazz Master and a Kennedy Center Honoree. Bennett has sold over 50 million records worldwide. Bennett has amassed numerous accolades and is a Guinness World Record holder, being the oldest ever recording artist to release an album of new material.
In February 2021, it was revealed that Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016. Despite the slow progression of his illness, he continued to record, tour, and perform until his retirement from concert performances in August 2021 due to physical challenges.
