„Phleng Chat Thai” („เพลง ชาติ”) which literally means „Thai National Anthem” is Thailand’s national anthem. This song was used since December 10, 1939. The song was composed by Peter Feit (Thai name: Phra Chen-Duriyang), 1883-1968, the son of a German immigrant and royal adviser to music. The lyrics were written by Luang Saranupraphan.

Thailand embraces in its bosom all people of Thai blood,
Every inch of Thailand belongs to the Thais.
It has long maintained its sovereignty,
Because the Thais have always been united.
The Thai people are peace-loving, But they are no cowards at war.
